Who is yoga for?

What can yoga do for me?

Yoga is for everybody and every body, really!

Yoga asanas or postures are only one of the limbs of yoga and can be modified to suit anyone's needs and body type. Whether you're a beginner or you have experience, you're sure to find the physical practice will contribute to your overall wellness.

What can I expect in a yoga class?

Really, what does it NOT do? Among many of its benefits, yoga aids in:

improving flexibility, tone & muscular endurance, improving posture, improving breathing/lung function, relaxing the body and mind and reducing stress, improving heart health (blood pressure & heart rate), and boosting the mood (depression). Yoga is also used as an adjunct treatment for specific medical conditions such as arthritis and insomnia.

Yoga just makes you feel so good all over!

Besides the physical postures (asanas) some of the other limbs of yoga are pranayama (breathing), meditation, and kirtan (chanting) which all combine to help you to achieve inner calm and peace, too.

We're Flexible!

We provide yoga classes in our studio or in your environment.  Whether it's your home, office, school, retreat, or event, we can come to you too!

See our "Classes come to you" page for details!

.

Are your classes registered or drop-in?

Our classes are offered on a pre-registered basis firstly. If space remains, we may offer drop in. Information regarding the drop in classes will be posted on our website. We currently do not allow any drop in in any beginner level class as they are progressive in nature.

What are your fees like?

Compared to other yoga - dedicated studios, our fees are much less. Compared to major recreation & leisure centres, we are a bit more, however, we offer a yogic atmosphere that you won't find at a fitness facility. We offer good value in order to continue to share yoga and build our business. For specific fee schedules, see our "investment" page.

How many people in a class?

The number of participants varies due to the style of class. Some classes have had as many as 9 people. Generally we aim to keep class sizes between 6 and 8 people. For a class like prenatal, 6 is our maximum.

Is yoga a religion?

No. However, it is a practice one can use to help link the mind, body, and spirit. One might say it can be a spiritual practice - learning more about one's self from the inside out and his/her place in the universe. As people of many faiths practice yoga, yoga itself can not be a religion. It can help you define your path in this world and learn how to silence Ego more and let your true self shine through.
